Exclamation DVD compatiblity

Hi there, my jeep has a factory head unit (6-stack in dash CD/MP3/WMA/DVD/AUX/BLUETOOTH Compatible) which plays DVDs, however, for some strange reason LCD screens are not an available accesory from factory, can anyone please suggest how and where to install LCD monitors in the jeep.

Some people have installed LCDs above their mirror on the footman's loop. This is likely illegal no matter where you are if you plan on using it while driving. You could do headrest monitors if it is for rear-passengers only or come up with something that is suspended between the driver & passenger seats. Visor monitors might be an option too and not easily seen when the visors are up. I've been caught in the rain with my top off a couple times so I personally will not do something like this.

Do they play actual DVDs? the MP3/DVD player on my old Acura only played AudioDVDs those specifically made with no pictures... The benefit of this was the audio came out in full surround sound. A step up from stereo.

They do play actual DVDs. The headunit is a carryover from other makes/models that have rear entertainment systems. There are many people that have patched into the rear of the headunit and ran LCDs to watch movies.

illegal in the front seat in most places and I can sure think of a lot more comfortable places to watch a DVD than the backseat of a Jeep.
