Eliminating subwoofer on JK

I have a 2010 Rubicon "stripper": no power windows, no power locks -- just the lockers, 1:4 transfer case. OK there's a luxury front sway bar disconnector, but we let that slip. However, they also sold me a subwoofer, because supposedly 2010 Rubicon always comes with one. I don't care for it and it takes up space. Does anyone know if radio will continue working if I rip it out? Or do I need to program the radio to disable the subwoofer circuit?
