Question Factory Subwoofer

When i bought my jeep, the guy installed a Kenwood 138 deck for the stereo. The factory subwoofer does not work. I'm pretty sure it is not blown. I don't know if there is a wire not hooked up right or anything. Thanks

mine had the same problem, you have to wire the remote wire from your head unit to the power antenna wire on the wiring harness. it seems weird but i found it on another post and it fixed my probem

Yup, that's exactly what you need to do...that wire is what signals the amp for the sub to turn on when the radio is powered on.

The remote wire on the head unit is either blue or blue with a white stripe... if one doesn't work, then it's the other. Sometimes either one will work even.

The wire on the factory wiring is blue if I remember right...if it's not blue, then it's also blue w/ white stripe (I believe there's only one blue wire in the factory wiring). lol
