For those that have added a sub to your factory console

My jeep didn't come with a factory sub and my console has a blue plastic liner inside. My question is can I put a sub into the console or does it have to be a specific console that is made for the sub? I don't want to use the area behind the seat as I carry tools, jumper cables etc...

There are people who have fabbed their own boxes. Then there are companies who have made boxes for the center console. Just do a little bit of digging and you should find quite a few threads. Then there is the underseat sub mod by SirGCal 2k TJ Project

Enjoy.

Yeah I have read that one. I was just wondering if I could use the console as it is and just put a sub in it without any special mods. The console has the recessed spot for a speaker but isn't the factory designed console for the sub.
