Found a sub/amp combo I think.

Newegg.com - BOSS AUDIO BASS900 Single 8" 900W Low Profile Amplified Subwoofer

Is this all I would need? Has anyone ever used this? I don't know what else I would need if anything to install in my 97 TJ.

Sorry where are you gonna mount it? Behind the rear seat? That sounds line a decent unit. What kind of head unit do you have?

I run a pioneer 1000watt 12. In a custom box. With a 300 watt phoenix gold amp and a pioneer head unit It's way too much. But I love it.

I don't have a head unit yet, I was thinking about just using a stock one from an 02 X, but I have no idea about wiring or how to do it. I would probably try to fit it under the rear seat but if I had to, it's tiny I could probably put it behind the rear seat. I just don't know if this is all I would need, or if I would need to also buy more amps or anything? I'm pretty beginner knowledge on these things..

I would stay away from Boss Audio especially in the amp category. I have had products from them that overheat after barely any use because they don't have built in fans into their amps to keep them cool. Yes, they have great warranties on all their products but to get them fixed you have to pay for shipping and other charges to get it to them and back. The last amp I had from them I sent in and got it back and still did not work, used my money to do it and no refund was given just my 2 cents...

An aftermarket head unit is gonna be alot easier to hook up than a stock head unit I'd go aftermarket. I've had no problem with pioneer but thats just my opinion

Are you counting the tweeters/mids on an extra set of 3 way 6x9's?
