FYI... installing Kenwood head unit and making it work with factory sub

i had seen to connect the head unit remote control wire to the jeep power antenna wire to make the factory subwoofer work... this did not work in my 06 TJ.

to get the subwoofer to turn on with both radio and cd player, i had to wire the

kenwood power (not steering wheel remote) control wire to the jeep power antenna (radio 12v output)

after that everything worked great... i also left the mute wire disconnected as the brown wire on the jeep is labeled "pci-bus"
