good deal?

hey guys I was lookin at this on Ebay. I've been looking for something for more sound in the heep. I really like the look of the sound pods, which might be in the future but for the price of this its kind of hard to argue with the price.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...169205023&rd=1

one more thing is there a way I could change the color of this (ie. spraypaint, ect...) thanks in advance

For a sound bar that a helluva deal! Just be sure to replace the pre-installed crap. As for color, depending on what its made of, you could probably get away with a rattle can.

thanks Az I think that I will probably pick it up. maybe post it on craigs list for more and see how much I can get out of it. then buy some pods. I'm guesing when you say the preinstalled crap you mean the speakers. how hard will this be to wire to my current system?

Should be a pretty easy swap, cut wires and connect new ones.

More than likely have to feed wires through the cage and to the dash, and as you say "Slice and Dice".

On my roll bar the factory wires were just taped to the outside of the bars under the padding.

well now I have two. lol. just not in the jeep yet. they are on the way. but no sound bar in it currently. its weird cause the roll bar padding isn't cut so that it can fit a sound bar on the front or rear side. I can't wait for the bars to get here so I can get them in. Oh and I also ordered a new 10" kenwood sub, cause I blew my old P.O.S. out and it sounds like your shakin a can full of rocks.

now when were talking about the harness being taped to the roll bar under the padding on the drivers side....does anyone have a pic? or can give me an example of what type of connection I should look for?

the roll bar patting in the rear doesn't have a zipper on? Mine does. As the roll bar patting that goes to the front windshield i just shoved the wire in there and left it this way. No problems so far.

The harness should be white and fro memory it was 6 or 8 plugs in it but only has 6 metal things sticking out (4 for speakers and 2 for the light) .. It should be at the top edge of the roll bar behind to the right (above) the drivers seat

no the one in the rear does have a zipper on it. I'm guess I'm just confused on where to look for the connector and I guess I'm gonna have to cut the padding on the front unless I only use one sound bar and put it behind the center roll bar.

For the front bar i ran the wires inside the pipe that connects to the windshield (drivers side). There are 2 holes in it, one in front and one in back.. goes in one, comes out through the other one. It was a pain in the butt and i had to use tweezers to pull it out but it was better than cutting the patting off. I first ran a skinny wire and then tied the big wire to it and pulled it through.
