Gps update

I'd like a GPS update on my 08 wrangler but I find $200 a bit steep
considering costs of portable systems.
Anyone have ideas...less expensive

There's no cheaper, legal way to update it. You might try looking for the previous update disc if you've got an older one, as they tend to drop in price once a newer one comes out.

I just recently paid $77 for the lifetime updates on my Garmin GPS. You can buy them now-a-days for around $200 (depending on the model) with the lifetime maps update.

This should be the current model of the one I have:
Amazon.com: Garmin nüvi 1390LMT 4.3-Inch Portable GPS Navigator with Lifetime Map & Traffic Updates: GPS & Navigation

I guess I was hoping someone out there had recently updated theirs and still had the update...I would be willing to share the cost

Don't think we're on the same page. This is for the built-in RADIO/NAVIGATION SYS factory installed in my 08 wrangler. It's a NAVTEC system and I think it's only available through them or Chrysler

Good idea on saving a few bucks but that puts me still "behind the times" .
Was hoping others sold generic stuff or maybe someone who recently updated would share and I'd pay part of the cost
