Hardly any sound from the sound bar!

My 2011 Jk got new speakers, an amp, and a bass restorer (MTX rq5). Before the change out, there was barely any sound from the sound bar speakers. The Polk coax's that replaced them are no better. I did not change out the factory head unit. I'm thinking that is the source of the problem. Anyone else have any other ideas?

I've heard that the stock deck is really weak on the rear channels. People who went aftermarket deck said it fixed the problem.

Yeah, a few minutes after I threw up the thread, I read that on another one. I gave the installers hell for not having any sound back there - what's that they say about eating crow?

I wish I would have tried my speakers on stock deck just to experience this, but I replaced everything and mounted 4 channel amp the day my 6.5's came in.

the amp should have solved the problem, my only guess is that the amp isn't powerful enough or the speakers are not powerful enough.

75w x 4 RMS, speakers are rated at 60 watts. Don't see a problem with power, and the speakers are Polks so there is no problem with quality, either. Anyway, picked up a new deck today to install later this week.

Hey 'goose, you have good taste, brah!

Finally got everything sorted out. Apparently no one bothered with the rear output of the ReQ-5. No sound going to amp = no sound at the speakers.
Now "everythangs everythang!"

Polk components in the front, Polk coax's in the soundbar, MTX ReQ-5 feeding into the Rockford Fosgate PBR300x4 amp. Man, it sounds schweeeeeeet!
