Head Unit Upgrade Recs

Can someone recommend a food option for a plug and play replacement to the stock stereo in my 2008 JK Sahara? I have currently have the infinity system with satellite and one CD input. I need BT for calls and would prefer a double DIN but I am also to looking to spend $1000. I want something that can use the same satellite module as well. I am a newbie and have read a bunch of threads about upgrades but nothing particular to my year. Thx

I'm a big fan of my JVC KW-AV60BT, because it has a removable faceplate which I think is important with a soft top on for several months of the year. You'll get a lot of change from $1000 even if you have it professionally installed. (I'm assuming that when you say "satellite" you mean Sirius?)

I don't believe you an use the stock satellite plug into a new head unit. I just installed the alpine INE S920HD and had to go aftermarket with the sat antenna and connection. Have noticed a significant degradation of say reception as a result.

I meant to say I don't want to spend $1000. OK so are you saying you can't re-use the stock Sirius unit/antenna that definately has to be replaced in all cases? I guess then the only option to retain that would be to use an OEM upgrade.

For the JVC did you have to install a new satellite antenna and so on? What was the apprximate cost of that upgrade?

I didn't have one to start with, so I had to buy a new one. It was $30 and was simple to install. I have it in the corner of my dashboard/windshield, reception is perfect.
