Help...Buttons on steering wheel and horn not working

I have 2012 wrangler unlimited and buttons on steering wheel (except cruise control) and horn suddenly quit working. I have a appointment set to take it in to dealership but they don't have a opening for 2 weeks. What can I do to try to fix this myself. Thanks

It could be a fuse, but if so, what made it blow?
I would let the dealership answer that question unless you know the answer.
You could also try to find another dealership.

Search for cruise control not working, there is a thread from 2012 on here about the same problem. One of the suggestions which worked was start the engine, turn the wheel all the way to the left, all the way to the right, turn the engine off, the restart it and drive for a couple of minutes. There is some kind of a spring in the steering column that Can cause the problem.

Without seeing a wiring diagram I would guess it to be the clockspring.

I had the same thing happen on my 2014. I had to have the clock spring replaced.

Before you go doing anything drastic, try honking the horn a few times. There was an issue where the clock springs were grounding out and disabling the steering wheel controls; the fix believe it or not is to just lay in on the horn every once in a while.
