HELP ME PLEASE!!! ipod adapter not responding

I recently purchased a cheap ipod adapter from ebay

JEEP Grand Cherokee Liberty Wrangler iPOD iPHONE MODULE - eBay (item 290442096245 end time Aug-03-10 16:49:46 PDT)

Now I removed the cover and installed the ipod cable to the back of the radio and connected my ipod. Now heres the weird thing when my ipod is connected it starts to charge but the power light on the adaptor never turns and I cannot make the radio play the ipod.

I have the original factory CD radio installed

any idea how i can make the radio play my ipod? I am new to this whole thing and would appreciate all the help you can offer.

THANKS AGAIN!

-Mike

I don't thint the RBK radio was iPod compatable until the 2005 model year. Send the cable back if you can and go with the FM transmitter, or use it as an excues to upgrade the radio.

Do the cable and the radio have to be on matching FM stations? Mine is like that.

No, it is supposed to act like the cd changer.

And i have a FM transmitter but I dislike it because of where I live, Long Island has way to many signals and the reception and sound quality sucks.

I just don't want to have wasted money on this crapy thing.

I may try the thing that Jma20a said that would work and plus looks kinda cool. extra buttons are always fun.
