I am trying to keep from paying installation fees on my Bazooka Tube. I was smart enough to replace all of the factory speakers, but am a little apprehensive on the tube.

I have a 97 TJ. Pictures and advice are much welcomed.

Going from battery back and where to put it so it does not interfere with things to make noise intereference is big.

Any help welcome.

to run the power wire i went across the firewall to the driver side and there is a rubber plug in the firewall, just pull it out, cut a small slit to run the power wire through it. i am guessing you have an aftermarket headunit? i ran the rca's and remote turn on lead down the passenger side to keep it away from the power wire so there is no interference.

Jma20a has a great description. Be sure to run your wires separate sides. I actually have mine running through the sports bar so they're out of the way.

At home depot you can get sticky pads with plastic on one side to act as an anchor for the wires. That way u can strap the wires under the door sills keeping them hidden. It is very easy to run wires under the floor carpet and out one of the slits in the rear to the sub. If u have a remote bass control u can run it right down the center of the carpet.

If u ever have a chance to run new speaker wires, do it. So if u have new speakers run some better quality wire with a larger gauge wire for better quality sound. There is plenty of room in the rollbar padding to run the wires

Where do you attach the power cable to? Just the battery terminals?
Positive cable connects to the positive battery terminal. Make sure you have an appropriate fuse on that cable. Ground wire can bolt to the frame. I have a 250w amp under the driver seat. Ran the positive through the hole on the left side of the fire wall as previously mentioned. I soldered in a 30amp (?) fuse about 2' from the battery. Ground wire from the amp runs to my seat bolt. Ran the speaker wires under the center console to the sub. I'm just using the stock speaker wires for my dash and soundbar. Sounds pretty good. Pack some polyfil (cheap at walmart or use an old pillow) behind your speakers too.
