Hey CB guys...Mounting Locations?

Where are you folks with the 5 speed TJs mounting your radios? I don't have an overhead console in mine either so that option is out...

I was hoping to mount on the underside of the center dash section...but that will interfere with shifting. Any tips?

Another option is to mount it vertically on the passenger side of the center console. It takes some leg room from the passenger but puts it in a spot easy to reach... just keep the cord from getting tangled up on the shifter and you're good to go.

Lots and lots of options here (including where I mounted mine):

Where did you mount your CB Radio?

Here's where I put my CB.

For my HAM radio, we made an overhead bracket that goes from above the windshield to the rollbar.

to be honest, i could see that microphone cable catching on ones leg when getting out...

personally, I use the overhead from ARIZONA ROCKY ROAD ANTENNA MOUNTS FOR JEEP WRANGLER, UNLIMITED AND LIBERTY

no complaints so far, and its pretty simple to install...(I also have their antenna mount as well)

No prob, granted its 40 something as opposed to 20 something... but the convenience (at least as far as i'm concerned) is nice. It doesn't. however come with a place to hang your microphone... by sheer luck the radio my pop gave me has this clip that allows the mic to hang off the rearview mirror neck.

Yup, it's screwed into the holes for the footman loop.

Yeah, my 2002 doesn't have nearly the amount of space under there like yours does...lol.

Where in central IL are you from? I'm originally from Decatur/Mt. Zion...most of my family still lives there.
