HID Light issues

on my 95 wrangler. my brother got me a headlight conversion kit for x-mas. so i decided what the hell and bought a HID kit for it. installation went easy and fast. when my jeep was off and i was testing the lights everythign worked fine.

then i started up my jeep and one of the lights shut off..... turned back on when jeep wasn't running. issue is only when jeep is running. so to try to figure out issue i swaped balasts etc. and problem seemed to change sides so figured i had a bad ballast. called company got new one in and got new ballast, even got new bulbs.

re-installed everythign and same issue. so removed HID relay pack and wired up my own relays, thinking issue was in that pack. worked fine for about 5min then same issue. so now has to be a issue w/ something in jeeps voltage or something

figure i would see if anyone else tried to install HIDs into their jeep and had a issue. since i have changed everything and they work fine when not in jeep i'm out of ideas. figure voltage issue or somehting when jeep is running since thats only time it happens..there are no shorts or anything like that no fuses blowing .

i've lost whats left of my mind...lol

thanks for any help

hmmm i ran hids in my jetta but not in my jeep yet, the first thingthat comes to mind would be voltage.

If you wanted them bad enough u could rig the power to the battery and put a manual switch in the dash

HIDS in my eclipse work perfect...just the jeep is strange... that was only other thing i thought of was making it a "stand alone" system, and by-passin all factory wiring.

hell worth a try i'm all out of ideas

When I was on the Dodge Forum there was a ton of threads on this problem. I would troll there, I know there is a fix available.

no i havent yet. i gave it a little break bc i was getting to pissed lol..

only idea i have left to try is making it a complete stand alone system. by pass factory headlight switch and add a toggle. if that doesnt work then out of ideas. and will wait till after i do a engine swap.

right now been messin w/ snow here so haven't had time to mess w/ many things on jeep...been havin fun
