How to install hid fog lights on jk wrangler

Hey guys I got a 2012 jk and I want to put hid lights in the fog lights . I ordered h10 bulb and the bulb fits but I just need to make a seal for it. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or has done it before . Any input or suggestions would be great . Thanks

This is the best I can explain it. It's a crapy video but it's the only one that is relevant to what I'm doing.

So you are trying to use the factory fog light housings to run HID bulbs and ballasts? Please don't do this. Halogen bulbs produce a different light pattern than HID bulbs, and need different housings. HID bulbs in a housing meant for halogens will only result in blinding oncoming traffic. The only way I would even think about doing this is if I wired the lights to only come on with the high beam; the factory setup is opposite.

It's really not that people don't like bright lights... it's that you could cause an accident from blinding oncoming traffic. Your new HID bulbs will reflect off the fog light housings differently and will aim more light into the eyes of the cars barreling toward you on the highway. It's simply inconsiderate and illegal. Get new housings designed for HID's, or don't do it.

^ still on the money, lol.

Indeed. You are putting a spot light into a flood light housing. You will NOT get a super bright light from your vantage point b/c it will diffuse all over and have no focal point, but everyone looking at you from the front, no matter the angle, will see a spot light.

I like bright lights too, but we gotta do it the right way

Looks like you will fit right in then.

And if you don't want to hear the answer, don't ask the damn question, hoss.

Edit - just noticed you're "jkwrangler" - that explains it!

I won't be looking for you, the po-po will be though. Do whatever you want, but that attitude and hostile response to my common sense reply won't get you very far here or anywhere else for that matter. Enjoy

Ur a looser if u gotta come on here and be negative towards ppl . And I don't need to go far on a wrangler forum haha I can do it myself. I'm a mechanic. I was just simply seeing if anyone else has done it before.
I can tell you how to put oil in the windshield washer reservoir, too, but that doesn't make it a very good idea. Telling you the proper way to get H.I.D.s installed isn't being "negative", it is telling you the truth. If that doesn't fit your preconcieved notions of what is "true", well, it is what it is.

Friggin newbs. And some mechanic, needing advice on installing light bulbs, lmfao.
