Infinity speaker vibration- passenger side

Ive noticed that the passenger side dash speaker rattles when listening to a song with alot of bass at high volume. It doesnt do it all the time which makes it even more annoying. Im trying to figure out if the speaker could be bad from factory or if theres something else that is rattling and the speaker is fine. Ive pushed on the dash and surrounding panels but it still happens. Has anyone else had this issue? Driver side is great so its not just the amount of bass.

BTW......ive read how the majority of owners feel the factory infinity system is subpar. I gotta be honest now that I have my Jeep. I really dont think its bad at all. After reading all the posts, I was ready to go out a dump money into speakers and a different sub. I think im only going to swap soundbar speakers and polyfill them and the sub at least in the near future. I am particulary impressed that it doesnt cut out at high volume like on other vehicles ive owned. I had it up to level 38 and its very loud, clear and with decent bass response.

Dave

It sounds like you're hearing clipping/distortion. Very loud volumes + bass heavy music + stock speakers = sound like a good distortion combo. When you notice it on a certain part of a song try turning it down one or two clicks.

Clipping/Distortion can sound like the speaker cone is rattling or slapping against something.

you most likely have been turning it up too far for a long time and the passenger speaker bit the dust first.

Bring it back and have them replace it. It should be under warranty

they might try to say that it was user misuse that caused the problem.

If they try to tell me it was misuse after only 48 hrs of ownership, ill never buy a Vehicle from them ever again and never take it for any service there, lol!! I might just bite the bullet and buy an aftermarket set of speakers. If its going to happen again, Im better off just doing it now. I was planning on doing that before I got the Jeep anyway but I am actually pretty happy with the Infinity stereo.

the speakers were new and not really broken in, that is what makes it a user error, you can blow a set of speakers in minutes.

mine does that too, at least in mine its the air vent that vibrates. Now all i have to do is figure out how to stop it from vibrating.
