Infinity speakers

I bought some infinity kappa reference speakers to put in my TJ and come to find out the rear 5.25's wont bit with the grills on. Has anyone used the speakers? If so is it okay to remove some material from the sound pod?

I put rockford fosgate 7" mid range in the sound bar. Jig saw to cut the sheet metal back and then a razor knife to cut the material and foam back. The 7's fit perfectly and look like they were made for it. Theres just enough room to make them fit and not lose that stock appearance. Except for the bling bling grills (chrome) that come with them. Sounds great and deliver alot of sound.

The Infinity Speakers sound awesome. I am going today to get the Infinity Basslink to install. I'll let you know how it all sounds when I am done. I still have to install the 4x6 in the dash but I need to get the adapter plates.

I just put in Pioneer 6 1/2" 3-Way Speakers (TS-A1671R)
in the sound bar and they fit without any mods. They sound great too...have a Pioneer head unit to go with them

I decided to go with my rockford fosgate 12 and alpine amp. My best friend and I just finished building the box for the back that has a gun rack built on top of it. It turned out pretty good. We just have to cover it and run wiring. I have enough wood left over if anyone wants a box like this made. I will try to get somepicture up. box would cost ya about $70 though. It takes about 8 hours to do it right.

Send me some pics (SandToy4fun@comcast.net). I might be interested in the box.

Yup, they do. you can even use the factory grills over again. It will make it eaiser if you use longer screws so you can line it all up.
