Installed a CB radio, Headlights stopped working

I recently installed a cb radio in my 2004 jeep wrangler sport, and my headlights stopped working. all other lights on the outside still work so i drive with my fog lights, the bulbs are fine and i think the fuses are ok but im not sure, has anyone else had this problem or any ideas?

thanks

Welcome to WF forum!!!

It a Jeep thing. You just need to replace the fuel pump and all will be good... Ok, just kidding. Seriously, how did you hook the CB up, i.e. Where is hot and ground connected? I ran mine directly to the battery. Is the antenna properly grounded? Did you test continuity on the antenna hot and ground? What have you tried so far?

Put in a CB Radio and the headlights went out

sounds like a blown fuse in the fuse panel. Disconnect the CB Radio and look for the blown fuse.

When the headlights start to work, hook up the cb radio to the fuse panel where the am/fm radio is hooked.

Disconnect the CB and hook everything up the way is was. Check your fuses and get your headlights working again. Then hook up the CB directly to the battery (fused). This way, if anything ever happens out on a trail where the Jeep won't start, at least you'll still have some sort of commutation.
