I planned to buy one, but to me it wasn't worth it. My friend had one so i spent a weekend testing it. Sounds fantastic with the hard top on. Sounds good with a soft top all zipped up and the windows up. Disappeared with the top off going down the street. Since I have had my top off everyday since March, it was a problem for me.
If you are willing to spend that kind of money on a sub I can tell that good sound matters to you so I will tell you this:
I experimented with three different Sub systems until finally building a custom 10" sub boxes for under each front seat. Sounds ridiculous with the top on AND amazing with the top off because you both hear and feel the bass. They are stealth even with the doors off. They are fiberglass so if you get some water on your floor it won't hurt them. They are held in place by the seat brackets so no drilling or screwing was necessary.
My back cargo area is completely free of speakers and boxes so I can put a lid on it and securely put stuff back there.
Check with you local high-end shop to see if they can build you custom boxes for under you front seats at a reasonable price. I did, then decided I could do it for less. I have built them for other people and charged right around what a stealth box cost but to be honest I didn't make much money because of the amount of time it took to tear out both seats and mold fiberglass
I know from building these that you can fit the following 10" subs because I have built boxes for them: RF shallow, Pioneer shallow mount, Alpine Type R thin mount, JL Shallow and I am using Sundown SD-2s. The last three on my list are all pretty incredible and equally great sounding subs.
BTW, my friend that had the stealth box sold it and he's running my under seat subs now.
