looking for a new head unit

im currently in the market for a new sound system in the jeep curenntly bone stock 4 speaker set up very boring and quiet looking to do a nice clean setup with bigger speakers and a kick ass sound but i want to start with a good head unit i found out that the OEM head unit is a 1.5 din is that correct and if so are there any 1.5 din aftermarket head units i dont want to cut the dash up for a double and i dont want the tacky trim kit that i would have to install with a single din if someone can point me in the right direction for a good brand 1.5 din head unit ie kenwood alpine or pioneer that would be great thanks

p.s almost forgot it's a 03 tj sport

Both Quadratec and 4wd.com offer the kits for install directly in the 03 that are clean and you don't have to cut up anything. There are even ones that allow you to put a CD or your iphone in a slot under the radio (What I will be doing since I am looking for a good radio that will do Pandora and iPhone capable. Here is my list below.

Car Stereo – Check out this thread: Amp Placement

Sony CDX-M60UI ? mixed reviews ($161)

Dash Install Kit: $16.99
Turbowire Part DDS99-6503 - TURBOKIT Mounting Kit for Jeep

Radio adapter harness: $16.99
Turbowire Part DDS70-6502 - TURBOWIRE Adapter Wires for Jeep

Speakers: Front (2 Options)
If I do an amp, I will run the Polk DB5251 (Separates)
If no amp, then the Polk DB521

Speaker Brackets: Already bought on Ebay
5.25 Jeep Wrangler Speaker Bracket $16.48
Jeep Wrangler 5.25" Speaker Mounting Adaptor Bracket STEEL not Cheap Plastic | eBay

Front Speaker Baffles:
DEI 050320 Boom Mat 5.25" Round Speaker Baffle - Pack of 2 ($8.16)
Amazon.com: DEI 050320 Boom Mat 5.25" Round Speaker Baffle - Pack of 2: Automotive

Rear: (4 Options)
If I can cut enough room in Pods, Polk DB6501 (Seperates)
Polk DB650s (Slim Mount) if space is tight
If not, then the 2 options above from front

Rear Speaker Baffles: 3 sizes dependent on speakers
5.25 listed above

DEI 050330 Boom Mat 6.5" Round Speaker Baffle - Pack of 2 ($7.49)
Amazon.com: DEI 050330 Boom Mat 6.5" Round Speaker Baffle - Pack of 2: Automotive

DEI 050331 Boom Mat 6.5" Round Slim Speaker Baffle - Pack of 2 ($9.52)
Amazon.com: DEI 050331 Boom Mat 6.5" Round Slim Speaker Baffle - Pack of 2: Automotive

Amp: 3 Options
If I don't run a sub: Polk PA 660 75w x 4 for the front and rear speakers
If I do run a sub: Polk PA 5000.5 - 100 x 4, 400 x 1
No plans for a DVC but: Polk PA 660 front & Polk PA 600 Rear

DVC is Dual Voice Coil

Sub: If I do put on in it but will probably be a custom particle box, resin covered for waterproofing and a Polk DB 1040 single voice coil or Polk DB 1040DBC dual voice coil.

Hope this helps and anyone let me know if I could choose better components.
