If you are going to be talking rig to rig with little or no distance between, the choices are many. Cb's can be purchased very cheap, but coax and antennas come in to play. The newer FRS & GMRS Walkie talkies are cool, but they have their limitations, including batteries to replace. CB radios mounted in the rig are reliable and take no batteries, but can't be taken out for portable use very easy. Your choice based on your needs.

Uniden 520XL with a 2' firestik. Works great on and off road. Less than $100 for everything.

Redbone- Good common sense advice... I would be looking for both a perm mount unit similar to the one WarBoomer suggested (thanx for the pic)...and a hand held also. No bass pro shop walkie talkie type, I would like to see if there is a hand held CB w/ GPS intergrated. If there isn't there should be! If not a good hand held would work.

Thanks All

I've got a hand held CB and they are just no good. It's too low a freq. and requires such a long antenna (A 1/4 wave antenna for CB is 9 feet long!!) and they need at least few watts of power at that freq to be effective. That requires the power of several batteries and then the unit promptly eats them. There are FRS & GMRS handhelds with built in GPS. GARMIN Rino 530HCx 2-Way Radio with GPS/FRS/GMRS 010-00564-01 ? Walmart.com

Not cheap, but cool. You can see the location of another of these units on the GPS screen when you talk.

Good spot. Doesnt take up too much leg room?

Takes zero leg room and in no way interferes with normal driving style. You do have to lean forward to change channels, but other than that it's all good.
