Midland 1001z two way radio?

Just wondered if any of you guys have tried this radio at all. Its a simple very inexpensive radio (bout 26 bucks!) with no frills. I'm looking for something small and basic that just gets the job done. I don't need anything fancy. Any info ya guys mat have would be welcome. Here's a link to it:

Yep, I've used em and they work pretty good for what they are.

I basically need a radio that would work well on the trail and is not the super delux version or is just full of bells and whistles. A solid, capable radio at a decent price. I'm open to suggestions.

That one would work fine.
I've used em driving truck, believe me, they get more abuse in a semi than it will in a Jeep.

Ive had cheaper cb's and they worked ok so i thought until i bought a better one and there is a huge difference. almost no static or noise, built in meters to tune antenna... found mine on craigslist as a bundle deal cb, antenna cable, antenna, and bracket for 100 dollars. The 29 was used but perfect condition but everything else was brand new.
