Mounting your CB

Where does everyone put their radios? Everyone I've seen is in a different spot, I want to move mine because I always kick it when I get in or out of my Jeep. Whos got the most creative/most practical ideas?

Mine uses a simple C-shaped metal bracket (like the one that comes with the radio, but with longer "arms") mounted directly to the plastic trim piece above the windshield:

Both the bracket and the top rear corners touch that plastic trim piece, so for added stability I put some velcro on the top of the radio in those corners and attached it to the trim piece. Works great. I have some more detailed info in this thread.

I'm moving our stereo to the console and mounting the CB where the factory radio was. Not done yet but will post when the interior is back in.

I hung mine right in the middle of the roll bar.. It's out of the way, and it'll never get wet.. The mike is attached to one of those retractable cord things that can be found at any truckstop.. 2 large hoseclamps work really well. It's been up there for years, and has never rattled loose!!
