MyGig LockPick Questions

Hi all,

Just ordered the lockpick for my jeep wrangler with the AV harness and microphone for u connect. Just wonderin if anyone is having problems with it functioning and if so what is going wrong. Also, any malfunctions on the radio.
PS-ordered the upgraded software for the nav....is it good to go or is it buggy.
Any and all feedback would be appreciated....love the help on this forum...thanks

Edmo, did you get the Lockpic? Is it worth the $300.00? I'm afraid if I get one and then update my GPS , that it may screw up the Lockpic. Any thoughts on this?

Lockpick Reply

Yes, i bought the lockpic and installed it myself w the wiring harness and mic.Work great, i can now watch movies from my ipod......I would recommend it especially since the newer version (current) has more added features. From what i see, it doesnt interfere w any of the radio features, only enhances them. The u connect works great w the mic. I use the mic to add destinations on my gps and change radio stations.....extremely easy 2 install, if u r not mechanically inclined, the directions and video for install r on the money.....good luck

I am trying to install lock pick in 08 Wrangler, but cannot get the Mygig to 'enable' the mic. I have latest firmware update. Everything looks like it is ready to go (I get VR screens/prompts) but no response because mic is not enabled. Lockpick has no answer, but says the only other case the rep had heard about was a Jeep. So I have a lockpick that does everything except VR. If I send it back I have to pay 15% stocking fee. If anyone has solution to enable mic please pass on.

My gig is a total rip off. There are people that can successfully jailbreak a sophisticated phone or tablet for free... But they can't do it for free with a radio? Only in America. Just my .02cents.
