Navigation/ Touch screen

I have an 07 jeep wrangler Sahara with the built in touch screen and navigation system. Is there any updates out there for it and any way to get a good off road gps update?

????

How so? Long before there were in car "road" gps there were hand held trail gps.

That being said not many in car gps have trail or off road capabilities. You could pick an inexpensive handheld gps like a Garmin eTrex. Or like mentioned above there are some really good smart phone apps like motion gps that are quite a bit cheaper.

thinking more along the lines of in dash navigation units... "turn left at that big rock"...

most of them go crazy when you leave the "navigable" world of what's on the map they just didn't have jeeps in mind when they came up with in dash units.
