New audio installed

Installed the Polk DXI 6500 components, and 650s today, along with a Rockford Fosgate PBR300Xx4 amp. The amp puts out 75 x 4 and is not much bigger than my hand.

Total difference. Highly reccomended.

I just ordered the same amp, and I'm anxiously waiting for it. I went with Polk 521's in front, and 651's in the rear.

Are you running factory head unit or aftermarket? If factory is it base or infinity?

It was selling for $247 locally, but I found it online for $130 with free shipping. Hard to beat the price.

Im going to install a 10" subwoofer in my 2dr. Should i get a sealed or ported box? I listen to various types of music, and want quality sound, with a little thump when i want it.

Sealed or ported?

My head unit is a Kenwood ddx-419. I installed the pbr300x4 amp behind the glove box area. There is plenty of room for it in there.

Behind the glove box, huh? I was thinking about the other side, in front of the driver. I'll have to take a look behind the glove box. Where did you go through the firewall for power cable?

There is a plug in the firewall on the driver side. Just cut a small hole to feed the wire in and than use some sealant to keep it water proof

Hey devildog can you post up some pics of the mount behind the glovebox? I was thinking of making a mount similiar to the skinny pedal mount that fits under the steering column but like the idea of the glove box better. I have been eyeballing the same amp for a while now and with topless weather approaching its about time to order.

Thanks. I have looked at putting it there before and it looks like a tight fit. I heard that it puts off a lot of heat and wasn't sure about it getting enough air to stay cool.

I've heard about the high heat from it also. Unfortunately, i haven't had much opportunity to see how hot it gets. I have a 2013 2dr, so if it gets pretty hot, i may end up relocating it. I know it would fit under the seat with no issues, but i really don't want anything under the seats.

Tested it out this weekend. It does put off some heat. I ended up moving it to the rear. Also installed a new Kicker Comp R 10".... Very happy
