Cool New Nav Headunit for the Jeep

Hello everyone,
I've been looking into upgrading from the factory's 130 Uconnect system to an aftermarket head unit with navigation.

I've found the head unit I want on crutchfield, and they suggested other equipment that I may need. This is for my 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 10th Anniversery. It has the ///|lpine amp in the back (Alpine)
So here is the parts list. I want to make sure that what I'm getting will work.

  1. Head unit: JVC KW-NT310 Navigation receiver at Crutchfield.com
  2. Factory Intigration Adaptor: PAC RP4-CH11 Factory Integration Adapter Connect a new car stereo and retain factory steering wheel audio controls, entertainment system, and amp in select 2004-up Chrysler models at Crutchfield.com
  3. Antenna Adaptor: Metra 40-EU10 Antenna Adapter Works with select 2000-up vehicles — Motorola male to factory antenna female at Crutchfield.com
  4. Dash Mounting Kit: Metra 95-6511 In-dash Receiver Kit Fits select 2007-up Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Mitsubishi vehicles — double-DIN radios at Crutchfield.com
  5. Antenna Cable: Motorola Antenna Cable 18" Male-to-Female extension at Crutchfield.com
Am I missing anything?

Not sure why you need the antenna extension.

You might want to consider the Metra Axxess harness rather than the PAC, as I believe it allows you to retain fade control which the PAC does not.

I'd also shop around, I find Crutchfield expensive. You can usually find the same things much cheaper on Amazon. Crutchfield charge a premium because they position themselves as technical authorities as well, but I haven't found them to be especially good.

Ok when I went to the websight for it, after googleing it. It only lets me choose the Infinity Sound or standard 6 speaker sound when telling them what Vehical I have.

Which website, Crutchfield? Infinity is the same as Alpine in this case (Jeep switched suppliers for the 2013 vehicles), but forget what they're telling you will fit and what won't. Nothing that you have specified won't fit, I'm just not convinced you need all of it. There's no reason for needing the aerial extension, the aerial already reaches the stock head unit so unless you've decided to mount your new head unit somewhere else, it doesn't need extending.

This is what I was talking about. I googled "Metra Axxess" and found this website
Axxess Interface - Steering Wheel Control
The Adaptor that Axxess refers to on crutchfield is
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_120ASWC...SWC-1&skipvs=T

Only reason I selected the antenna extension is because Crutchfield says I may need it. I can nix that. On the dropdown menus I am selecting Infiniti sound. Is that the correct harness to get?

I'm 99% sure that the ASWC-1 is the correct harness, but check eboven's thread.

And then buy it from Amazon, not Crutchfield:

Amazon.com: Axxess Metra ASWC-1 Universal Steering Wheel Control Interface with New Micro B Connector (Black): Car Electronics

eboven's thead says "Axxess CHTO-013BB"

2012-13 Wrangler Aftermarket Stereo Install Write-up

I just don't want to buy the wrong thing and have something not work.

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...-CHTO-013.html

The website that I found when I google searched says that its only for 2004 - 2008. Mine is 2013. His writeup says hes doing a 2012. Now I'm confused.

ASWC-1 is the steering wheel control interface, not stereo harness. You'll still need a harness for your head unit. I'm sorry, I don't know which one it is - it looks like they sell the harness, the data interface and the SWC all separately, which is confusing.

You can use the PAC one, but you'll lose fade control. That might not matter to you. I have it in my Jeep and it wasn't a big deal, but I was always planning to replace the amp anyway.

I cant remember which part# I bought, but it was the axxess model. The one for our jeeps with the basic adaption (no steering wheel controls) comes with the data interface and the wire harness for like $130 at best buy. The SWC module plugs into the data interface box but you buy that seperately. It works with mine, but I am a 12, not a 13... so YMMV.

SonicElectronix is definitely the way to go for cheaper parts but the crutchfield reps and service are fantastic.
