No sub output :(

SO i bought a new radio for my Jeep about a month ago. i hooked up my new to me sub and it was not as loud as it used to be in my brothers car. i found out my radio has no sub output just audio output. this is not giving off the same amount of power to my amp and does not sound good. is there a way to make a sub output on my new radio? if not ill end up buying a new one with sub output and selling the one i have now.

this is what yo will need, it taps into your speakers and converts them into a rca output with a remote turn on lead built in.

^^no he doesnt need that, he already has RCA outs.

There's no way to make a regular RCA a subout. Unfortunatly your down to getting a different head unit or a bigger amp

If you already have regular RCA outputs, then you likely just don't have the amp set right. Make sure you have the crossovers, boost, and gain set correctly.

This may help make it sound better, but ultimately a new head unit with dedicated sub output and controls will make the most difference.

FYI. The bass boost only does harm to your sub.

Depending entirely on how you have your gain set, and what you're listening to. The bass boost can be used successfully without clipping the signal or hurting anything. Do majority of people use it this way? NO. But it can be done without harm.
