Most people I know have the factory bar with better speakers.

Oh, sorry. I meant factory sound bar. The Besttop would work for you then since it just uses the main tube of the roll bar.

I thought all Wranglers came with a sound bar. Is or was it only an option?

When I got my TJ in 2000, it was an option on the SE models, but was standard on Sport and Sahara. When u went from an SE to a Sport in 2000 you got:

4.0
Carpet
Soundbar and Rollbar Padding (full padding was also an option)
Radio w/ tape deck
A backseat
Goodyear Get Stuck Anywheres on Grizzly Wheels 15x7

A stock SE basically had a motor and two seats. No radio, backseat, carpet...

I only went to the Sport for the 4.0. I have now removed my backseat, the tape deck, replaced the speakers in the soundbar and front, and lost those god awful tires and I pulled the roll bar padding off of the rear bars. So I guess it was a good thing I was only interested in the 4.0 but now I want a stroker.....

i was thinkin bout that 6 speaker one, but does it require an amp or anything? the floor "center-pod" is out, my jeep get water in the floor board quite often. question about the sky pod, it says it doesnt interfere with the top, but how true is that? i also need the footman-loop that it covers in order to use my bikini top, what i still be able to access that?

I say go with a stocker and upgrade the speakers with something better... any soundbar that you get will have semi decent speakers, but nothing like a good set of Boston Acustics will do.
