Temp shouldn't make any difference but some speakers do need some time to break in.
If you are hearing improvement by the end of a short drive, then Start all over the next drive, I would guess your ears are just getting used to it.
Are you running stock head unit and amp or are they aftermarket? If they are stock, there is your problem.
