I thought about using the center area (where the radio is) all the way at the bottom. Currently there's just a net there to carry stuff. Might be a good place, not sure if there's anything behind that area?

I was thinking that to but I think there is other stuff behind there, some people were talking about outing switches there but couldn't.

See this thread: http://www.wranglerforum.com/f33/cb-...unt-75863.html

I'm probably going to get the Cobra 75 WX, everything is built into the mic!

Anyone recommend it or not?

I've got the Cobra 75 in my truck, and will probably put one in the new Jeep over the holidays. Can't recommend it enough. Does everything it needs to do with good range in a small package.

I've read numerous threads from multiple forums and a ton of people use that and like it, I might go with it myself eventually.

Short answer: If you're off roading and you're stuck in the mud, it's easier to pick up the CB and say "Dude, I'm stuck!" Than to get out, walk through the mud and find your friend...

Mostly so you can talk to your friends. You're not always going to have cell signal on the trails.

Not to mention alot of clubs require you to have one. If you go to a Jeep Jamboree you have to have one.

I have a Cobra 75WX.

Removed the glove box and installed the main part of the radio utilizing a screw already there. It's like the radio was made for this Jeep.

Cut a hole and added the mounting plate for the speaker/mic/controls.

Added a bracket utizilizing the radio's screws
