Preferred CB antenna mount

Just bought my CB but held off on the antenna till I figure how/where I'm mounting it. I've got a '13 JKU w/soft top. I was thinking either the "bed rail" where the hard top would go or just mounting it off the spare rack.
Any lessons learned or advice for this humble noob?

I put the Teraflex antenna mount on my spare carrier and grounded it inside the passenger cavity behind the taillight using 10 gauge wire (couldn't find 8 gauge locally).

I run a 4' Firefly off of a Cooltech gate mount. Great combination, very solid, takes a beating!

I'm torn between the spare mount and the ultramount that goes thru the license plate cover.... I got the radio mounted last night.

I have the rugged ridge spare tire mount. It's a great mount but a bit of a pain while dealing with openings the rear. I'm running a 3' firestick II and I'm getting a 7-10 mi range with my Uniden 520 out of the box.
If you go with the license plate mount you will need a longer antenna to get about 12-18" above the jeep. That would mean more whipping around. A pro and con of both.

We just got in a new CB antenna mount for the spare tire rack. It is a less expensive alternative to the Teraflex mount. Check it out here. Jeep Wrangler CB Antenna Mount JK 2007 and Up

We are also an authorized dealer for the Firestik brand of CB antennas.

Do you guys offer any discounts? I got my mount and stick for the same price and free shipping. It was the deciding factor on where I bought my equipment.
