Lightbulb Proposed Light Setup....Thoughts?

So far I don't have any aux lighting on my TJ and it's time to change that. I'm thinking about PIAA 525s on the front bumper. I like the dual functionality of them on paper. Can anyone weigh in on if i'm getting suckered into a gimmick or not? Then I'm thinking about PIAA 520 ATPs on windshield mounts. Anyone have experience with the ATPs? I've read about hood glare being an issue with a wide beam on windshield mounts but have also seen people say they would redo their setup that way and not worry about the glare if they could do it again. Thoughts?

Thanks,
Rob

I had 4 KCs on a roof light bar. I got a lot of glare off the hood, but I also have a white jeep. If you do windshield lights, you can tilt them out to the side, which is what my father does on his and he doesn't get much glare off the hood.

I'm not familiar with the lights you suggested, but I do recommend KC daylighters, or if you plan on doing a lot of light I would recommend looking into HID lights. with 6 130w lights, head lights, and fogs, at idle, my volt meter would drop to almost 12v. lots of lights need lots of power!!!

Have no experience with the PIAA but run a set of four KC's two on the bumper and 2 on window mounts. The window mounts are long range and bumper mounts are driving lights. So with the window mounts I don't get bad glare because the way the beam is focused up/forward. The bumpers lights are driving lights so they accent the headlights. Flip them all on and I slay vampires. I will say I ran the driving lights on the window mounts and didn't notice bad glare. I do get a small drop in volts at idle with stock alt. Hope this sheds some light on the subject......
