Question Question--head units and humidity

I have been doing some research into installing a complete new audio system in my 02 TJ, and a thought just occurred to me: I have seen a lot of posts about the marine grade Polk speakers (which I am considering especially for the dash because of proximity to rain), but nothing about the head unit with regard to weather/humidity. Since I will most likely be running my TJ 6 months of the year with nothing but a bikini top, and I don't have a garage, will general humidity be a problem for the head unit? I know there are marine grade receivers but they are limited in choices. Thoughts?

By the way, I live in Pennsylvania, and humidity levels are fairly high through the summer.

Humidity there is a hell of a lot lower than Hawaii or South Carolina. You will be fine, just don't dump water on your dash.

Agreed; unless you plan to submerge your jeep to the point of no return and want a working radio after, I don't see a point in getting a marine grade stereo. Any good quality headunit will do you just fine as long as you keep your top on in the rain. Humidity would be more of a concern if you had full doors and a hard-top on; instead of airing it out, all the water vapor gets trapped in the cabin.
