radio antenna wire question

I recently took out my head unit and I unplugged my radio wire ( not the part that connects to the back of the factory unit) but the other end and I cant find out where that goes and my favorite station is all static what do I need to look for?

when i put in my first headunit i kept pulling it out at the connection under the glove box so i ended up just getting and extension cable for it so that way i don't have to deal with that.

if you take the glovebox out look to the right for where the antenna is mounted to the body and you should be able to find it
