radio/battery wire position?

ok so i have my new radio installed and everything was working fine, but it loses its memory. now this happend with my old radio, but only after i was brooming out my jeep one day and this cord right here fell down. i hooked it up to the fuse box where it said radio and forgot about it. i know most of you are laughing at me, but im not anywhere near an electrician. so, can someone tell me, or better yet show me where this damn wire goes? its the wire that powers the radio.

Your red wire needs to go to a hot wire with they key on and the yellow one needs to go to a constant power source.

i think i've got the red wire in check, but where can i find a constant power source besides going directly to the battery?

There's usually an open slot in the fuse box for such add ons....but there should be one already in the dash as well. Check all the wires with a test light and if you dont have one that is constant power, check all your fuses.
