Radio Electrical Help

Howdy!

When I bought my Jeep the radio didn't have power. Before I drove off the lot, the owner's son had manipulated the wiring so that the radio works, but it isn't wired directly to the battery. I know this because it doesn't have a memory.

Can anyone easily describe how I can correctly wire it to the battery so it'll keep time and remember the radio station presets?

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like an after market radio. Most likely it will have two power wires; one controlled by the ignition, and one always hot. You will have to take a look at the wiring harness to the radio, find the two hot wires, determine which is which, and run the"always hot" wire directly to the battery or some terminal connected directly to the battery.
