So I just got my 1993 Wrangler a few days ago. Turned the radio on heard the speakers are blown and the display of the head unit doesn't work. Ive changed head units before but this one is located in the center console between the driver and passenger seats. I'm not really sure how to go about getting it out of there. Here's a pic of what I mean.



Any ideas?

Sell me the tuffy console. No but you probably have to unscrew the tuffy console from the tub at the bottom

There are four bolts holding the console to the tub in the main compartment. Pull those and lift the console to expose the backside of the radio and all the wiring.

Been running the Tuffy console for four years now and love it. The OEM radio hangs in the dash owered up for the clock and my radio/cd player is tucked safely away in the console.
