Raxiom backup camera

Since installing a raxiom backup camera on a 15 wrangler with less than 15k my headunit occasionally stops working to the point that I have to pull the 30amp circuit breaker to reset. When it stops working, if I randomly press the buttons it will power up to the Jeep screen and shut back off. The PAC device is solid Amber

I put the in the jk general forum with no hits and just noticed this forum so I figure I'd give it a shot. Anyone run into this. Any ideas for me?

It shuts off randomly. Sometimes a few days or a week or so.

Just saw this, I have a similar setup on the way. Based on the research I have done, it appears to be important to follow the proper sequence on startup of the PAC unit. I would try disconnecting the negative on the battery, unplugging the 2 connections on the PAC box then go through the setup again.

There is a post in the General Forum with a link to good directions.

I tried this out your recommendation with the PAC box and was confident it worked after about a week of running with no problems then yesterday afternoon it was off again. I'll give it another try leaving the batter disconnected for a longer period of time. I'm doubtful but I'll try again. Any other recommendations?

My solid Amber issue was no power to the camera. Maybe double check you camera power connection. I tried the wire labeled Camera in the PAC harness, and after way too much time troubleshooting I found it did not have any power. Hooked into the cig/acc. power and had Green lights and has been fine.

The instructions provided were difficult to understand. The camera is getting power from the cigarette lighter even though the instructions said to pull power from the break lamp. I didn't understand how to do that since I didn't have a way to tap into the cable.

Everything works fine except the radio shuts off and the PAC device goes solid red. Called the manufacture and they said to put everything back to nominal. Run it for awhile and then reinstall following the procedures.

Maybe my radio went out at the same time that I installed? I didn't see crimping or binding anywhere and driving around town without a dash is getting old.

Appreciate the replies.
