rca patch cables

I'm ordering a amp. Should I spend more on a better patch cable or get the cheap ones. If I run them away from the power cables there should be no difference right? The only difference is the more expensive ones resist interference better?

go with the zero noise, when running the power and rca's you can't run them next to each other or you will get static noise. so run the power on one side and the rca's on the other side

I discovered my stereo has an RCA out connector for the subwoofer and my amp has RCA in too. are they normal RCA cables like for your home stereo?
The stereo has a seperate volume control for the subwoofer too which is nice.
Im going to cut a hole in my center console and stick my 12" sub on the side of it LOL

well I whent onto a car audio forum and did a search they said as long as you don't run the rca cables next to the power there is no noticible difference. So I whent cheap. I'm going to run the power on the other side of the car. I can always upgrade later.

Ya I read normal radio shack rca cables work fine if run correctly.

you can also run the rca's and remote turn on wires down under your arm rest below the carpet. i have my rca's down the center and the power down the driver side. and i ran all new speaker wire for the rear speakers on the passenger side.

I ran the RCA wires, power from the battery and remote wire all cable tied together down the center to under the back seat where the amp is and it seems fine. My vehicle is thumpin' again!

now i gotta get the courage to cut a huge hole in the side of my center console for the sub lol

The power cables should be seperate from the rca's and speaker wires because of interference.

If you just cut a hole and stick a sub in there it will sound like crap. It needs to be sealed.

All RCA patch cables are shielded, there is no need to go with expensive versions, you certainly won't get better sound out of them. If static is ever a problem, it's not going to be RCA patch cords between the amp and head unit causing the problem.

I ended up cutting my sub box in half now it fits behind the rear seat.
Im quite impressed with the sound containment from the hard top, I got it thumping and shaking the windows and you cant hear it much from outside.
