I won't go into detail as to what I'm doing, but:

For the wires coming from an RCA jack, there are 2 wires. Ill call them an inner and an outer. Which is the positive and which is the negative?

Thanks

Ok, my lazy arse did some research and it appears it doesn't really matter as long as I am consistent.

I don't think it'll matter, but here's the flow:

iPod -> left/right RCA -> left/right speakers

From what I read, as long as I am consistant in what I dub pos/neg for both left and right, all should be good.

Good point. This isn't for my jeep. Just a temporary setup on the jet ski. :thumb:

Amp kept flaking on me and running 2 batteries was a pain. So decided to just run straight to speakers. Won't be very loud but it'll do. /)

Actually, it does. Just depends on how much volume you want and what size speakers they are.

When dealing with audio cabling, traditionally, the wire with the stripe is used for positive. But again, it doesn't matter as long as you keep it consistent.
