Rear Tail Light Question

Alrighty so my tail light took a serious poop the other day. The 3 wires from the tail light assembly pulled out of the plug. Now can I just splice the wires to the corresponding wires or am I just s**t outta luck and need to buy new light assemblies? Or should I just do the round LED conversion?

I made sure that I wired it correctly. I'll double check but I looked and the drivers side and wired it the same. Unless the sides have 2 different wiring set ups?

They do. Well, one wire is different. reverse lights and running lights are the same color on each side but the turn signal light colors are different. Hold on and I will get the colors.

The YJ may be different but practically all year TJ's are the same and you do have the exact same lights as us so here are the colors I got.

Left Side:
Running = Black/Yellow
Brake/Turn = Green/Red
Reverse = Violet/Black

Right Side:
Running = Black/Yellow
Brake/Turn = Brown/Red
Reverse = Violet/Black

Also try using a test light or multimeter on the wires from the Jeep. Then use a 9v battery to test which wire on the light housing matches.
