Running speaker wires to sound pod

Ok guys I have looked all over WF and maybe I'm missing it. So if this has been covered I apologize. I just bought an amp for my 06 LJ and am not sure how to run the wires to the speaker pods. I am planning on going through the roll bar pad and to the pods that way. My question is, is it easier to pull the pods and run the wires that way or what. How has everybody else done it. All input is greatly appreciated.

Speaking from the experience of just replacing everything in my tj. i ran the wires up the drivers side roll bar. unzipping the roll bar pads, and removing the pods. that way i could run the wires without any issues.

it actually wasn't to bad to do. replacing the head unit and running all the rca wires and speaker wires all around the rest of the jeep was more work. from the amp to the pods was by far the easiest part.

Thanks for the response. I got it all hooked up. New head unit, 4 new speakers, an amp and a sub. Sounds great. I can actually understand the words to the songs when I'm running topless and doorless.
