Securing my Sub Box

Hey everyone,

I just got a 93 YJ and it came with a 10 in sub and 1000 watt amp. I love the sound aspect of it, but I'm concerned about securing it. Not do much it sliding around but more towards the anti-theft side of it. Being that it's a YJ and I can, and hopefully will soon be taking the hard top off and putting the soft top on or running no top, the sub and amp will be sitting virtually out in the open. Any ideas how I can secure it so no one can just walk up, yank the wires out and walk away with it?

1. Throw a worn blanket over it
2. Motion sensor alarm

I have one in the back of mine, but usually have the hard top on. If I drive around without the top on, sometimes i just remove it. It's only held in place by a bungie cord, so easy to remove.

Go get a few "L" brackets from home depot and some 1/4" self tapping screws and secure it where you want. To avoid putting a screw through the gas tank you can secure it to the wheel well.

I ran an eye bolt into the box, and then locked it to the cargo ring in the back. If you don't have a cargo ring, you can get a second eye bolt and bolt it to the body. Use caution when drilling.
