slow playing mp3's

I put a number of mp3's from my iTunes library on the HDD of my 430 system, there are a number of these mp3's that are playing back in "slow motion"...has anyone run across this situation and is there a fix for it other than deleting & retrying?

were the problem tracks vs normally playing tracks imported from CD or bought from iTunes (is there a common thread here)? could be something in the DRM / format of those MP3's. You could also try taking the problem track, using a 3rd party (non apple) program, and reformat the track into mp3. see if that fixes the issue. if it does then its a DRM thing. If you do not have a 3rd party program, then in iTunes select the track then right click on it. Select "create AAC version" and try to see if the new AAC version plays normally.

I would bet its a DRM thing. Try the other steps I listed above.

Yeah, I would bet its a DRM problem too. You could try something like Sound Forge to rip them to another format, something like a wave file, and that might remove the DRM. Then, you can rip it back to mp3. There are DRM removal programs as well. There are also file sharing softwares where you can get the files too. This is why I don't like the RIAA. Even when you try to support the artists, you are bootstrapped by file protection, even after you purchase the songs. I had the same problem with a movie that I purchased online.

I don't know if you have a iphone, but that might work, since you can play your purchased library on the iphone and plug it into the AUX port on your car stereo.
