sound bar issues

Hi! everyone, I'm having issues with the left speaker in my sound bar. I've taken the right side speaker out and tried the left speaker both work fine. When putting the speaker back in the sound bar i accidentally touch the metal on the sound bar and the speaker started working . Now i've checked the connection from the speaker all the way back to the radio and everything seems good. I checked the balance and fade also and it was also good. Seems like the speaker only works if its grounded but if i ground the speaker a protect icon appears on my radio Does anyone have any idea. Thanks

Oh! and i ride a 2000 tj sport

Sounds like you know what the problem is, your left channel isn't properly connected to your speaker. Most likely a wire problem or a stereo problem. Is the stereo properly grounded? did you check it?
You may be able to check the speaker wire, though that could be kinda hard because of how it runs.

What I would do is disconnect that channel from the current speaker wires, then I would hook up another set of speaker wires to that channel and run it to the speaker in question. you don't have to run it under stuff, just across the seats for testing. If it works, then you know the problem is with the wiring. If not, then it not wiring, you need to look at the installation of the stereo.

hey! i found my problem with my speaker. i tried running speaker wire directly to the speaker and still had no sound. i checked the ground at the stereo and decided to run a new one and forgot to turn off radio. in that process the wireing harness from the jeep was in my way so when i moved it the speaker worked. turns out the harness from the jeep to the stereo was loose and wasn't making a good problem solved was just a loose wire harness. thank god. thanks again for the help
