I will be installing four speakers into my YJ this coming weekend. The front pair are rated at 75 watts RMS each (4 ohms) and the rear pair are rated at 60 watts RMS each (2 ohms).
First question: am I going to damage anything by having speakers rated at different resistance?
I am trying to determine the amplifier that will meet my needs without blowing the speakers. Currently I am looking at this. It is rated for 50 watts per channel at 4 ohms (90 at 2 ohms). Will this mean my front pair will be under powered and my rear pair will be destroyed? Or will this amplifier work as long as I don't crank it to 11?
