Awesome! Funny enough, I just went out and bought some Infinity's for my Jeep yesterday. They probably won't be installed for a couple days though.

It's under the rear seat I just put the seat back in. I rasied the seat about 1/2-1" so the amp would fit and get some air flow.

WHAT !?!?!? No bluetooth, I'm going for a JVC KD-AVX33, not even bothering with CD's anymore, too small. Nice install though, those wiring kits make a big difference.

Definately a nice job. I want to upgrade my tunes but it's way down the list on my upgrades.

It does blutooth you just need to buy a little adapter for the headunite. I'm going to buy it later. I use the usb for the ipod and I might stck a 120gb hard drive behind the dash an load it with songs.

Yea, I just don't like buying a $125 BT adapter. Is that USB powered or unpowered in those ? will it charge the IPOD too ? I have not played with a USB stereo, wonder if it would take a powered usb hub and multiple USB devices. Gotta start digging, more questions than answers, with USB I wonder if it will connect and charge my phone as well as access the 2gb memory card directly.

Yea, now I'm curious about just how USB usb stereos are. I''ve been digging the built in bluetooth on my jensen since I got it over a year ago and it paired right up with my V3m razr. If the usb is fully powered usb2.0 that means I can stick a 160gb hard drive in and not have to power it from somewhere else, with a hub I could do the HD and the phone, at least keeping the phone charged which the OEM motorola USB cable does with a USB2.0 PC port.

Not true. A full size 3.5" hard drive might if the carrier it is installed in needs an external power supply. Some of the smaller 2.5" laptop hard drives don't need them. You just need to find out how much power is supplied from the stereo through the USB cable. Some don't supply enough requiring a separate supply.

Thats the question, how do the computer world USB specs match up with the stereo world USB specs. Every USB2.0 port I have run into and many USB1.0 will power a USB drive in a external case. This IBM T30 I'm on now has a 60 gig external for holding movies and music and it's powered thru the usb 1.0 port.
One tip, if you have a device that uses USB, Ipod, V3m, etc that will charge off of a powered USB port you don't have to go buy an expensive adapter, just pick up a cheap powered USB hub at staples for $9.00 and use that, as long as the hub has a wall wart it's powered.

yeah his new cd player supports USB so you can hook up a hard drive and store music on it. i bet ya that hard drive is going to have one hell of a time with the bouncing around though

Usually depends on how its formated, either using Fat32 or NTFS. Some headunits do better with one or the other. But you really shouldn't need more than 60-80gb. My music collection so far is a little less than 30gb and thats over 5000 songs.

Yea, but for car music you need a latptop drive, inside a good enclosure that has some shock resistance, I'd also limit it to a 5400rpm drive for longevity.
