Exclamation Subwoofer

Hey I have a 2dr 2008 jk and i'm a bass guy. The factory sub is not enough. I want to put in a larger subwoofer and add more bass. does anyone know of one that would be loud enough and fit in the factory enclosure and basically not take up any more room?

Because i'm a mobile DJ I have to fit all of my equipment in the small wrangler so I dont have room for a legit subbox and everything.

help. haha

i had looked into this as well. i did not find anything that made me jump for joy though. seems the only real thing to do is either buy the mopar kicker 3 system for like $1100 or take up the space in your trunk with a box. they do make some pretty cool box's that are pretty form fitting for the JK. if that doesnt work you can always have a custom enclosure made for you that will not take up much space. i am sure somebody out there makes a decent sub that can replace the stock one, but there is really no air space in the stock box for anything thats gonna make the sound you want.... i also seem to remember finding a site that would sell just the kicker 3 sub upgrade by itself. i ould have to look around again for ya and see if i can find the site.

i just thought about this as well as an option for you. they do sell just the stock sub alone, you could always buy a second stock sub for alittle more sound. i doubt it would really do much for ya if your really looking for some serious bass. but its always an option to save some space.

oh my god that is just sad. What a waist. However I would love to see her do a pole dance while going on some wicked trails. That would be awesome if you were following that rig.

HOLY COW look at the set of speakers on the back of that thing. Those things would probably take the chrome off of the trailer hitch. Bill, it always amazes me that you manage to point out some of the finer details of the various threads on the forum in the JK section....even if you sometimes have to include a tj or other model whilst doing it.

some how i knew that pic would float up in this thread...

do you need the backseat? because you could always replace it with a big box with 2 12's and use the rest as your storage...

OR (and i dont know if this would work out like im thinking) build a custom box that filled in the floorboards of the rear passengers and put a glass top or covered anyways so that people could still sit in the back and put there feet down but just not all the way down...

what about those boxes that sit on the rear fenders?? would that work for you.

here is what i found at quadratec.com... but i dont know how much space it takes up... it does say you still have access to the cubby hole and jack...
